Lucky Was Thrown Over A Fence! Needs Skin and Heart Care
They threw me over a 6-foot fence in the middle of the night.
I hit the ground hard. On my back. I didn’t know where I was or why it happened. I just know I was hurting and alone.
When the shelter staff found me the next morning, I had curled myself up on a cold concrete step. I was pressed up next to a kitten someone else had abandoned. We didn’t know each other, but we were scared together. And that helped.
They didn’t just leave me behind.
They threw me away. Like trash.
My skin was raw and burning. I itched everywhere but scratching just made it worse.
The people said I have heartworms too.
All I know is that my body aches and my heart hurts more.
But even after all that, I still wag my tail.
I still believe someone will be kind.
I lean into gentle hands, and I try to be brave. Because maybe, just maybe, someone will care.
Angel Dog Alliance rescued me.
They named me Lucky.
I haven’t felt lucky yet, but maybe with your help, I will.
Right now, I need help for the things I’ve never had:

- Good food to help me heal
- A soft, safe place to rest
- A ride to a foster or forever home when I’m ready
